Our television set decided to go on the blink this week. It's not that old, but when we starting asking questions about getting it fixed most told us to just buy a new one. I don't know about you, but we can't afford to just go out and replace everything the breaks.
My husband took the set to service center. We waited, we called, we waited, we then went and picked up the TV. They hadn't even looked at it yet. Paul then took the TV to Roane's Television Repair in Winter Park. They looked at the TV, called us and said it was ready. That worried me - they didn't ask for approval to fix anything. Certainly that couldn't be a good sign. I just knew we were looking at big bucks.
I went to pick up the TV ready for a fight. Much to my surprise and glee I was told the charge was only $69! It seems Paul had tried to fix the TV first and when that didn't work he took it to Roane's. What Paul did was correct, but just not correct enough. They only charged us to finish what he started! (and yes they did call first before working on the set. They called Paul - he just didn't tell me)
Roane's Television Repair is one of the most honest repair places I have ever dealt with! In this day and age where everyone is hurting and trying to make an extra dollar they certainly could have charged us more and we never would have know. Their honesty and integrity is something to be admired!
