Job Interviews

I went on a job interview today...I should say I went to a job fair today. I had to submit my resume and be invited to attend the job fair. Once there I had to wait in a long, long line just to be pre-screened. Once you make it through the pre-screening, you move on to the actual "interview" process.

I've owned my own company for the last several years and before that I always had employers calling me. I haven't had to "look" for a job in a long time and I'm not used to the rejection. It's a lot harder to accept as you get older. I tend to take it very personal!

As I stood in line today and looked around I noticed so many people looking nervous, anxious and scared. I tried to talk with as many of them as I could, anything to lighten the mood. I met the nicest girl standing behind me in line. She was one of the nervous ones. We wished each other luck as we went in to talk with our "pre-screeners." I was sad to see that she didn't make it to the next phase, but I was so happy that I made it!!!

I'll know in about a week if I got the job. It's seasonal and will be so much fun! I will have so much to write about if I get this job.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!
