Last night Tina and I went to dinner with some girlfriends and then over to see the movie "Julie and Julia." There is nothing more enjoyable than a night out with girlfriends! This was a great group. We had a couple of friends from a few different groups. No one really knew everyone, but no one felt out of place.
I think that is what I love most about Tina. She and I are able to make the women around us feel welcomed. No matter where we go, we always make friends.
I am always surprised when I meet women and they tell me they don't have girlfriends to hang out with. I think girlfriends are the most important thing you can have in your life. Yes, you love your husband, cherish your children, blah, blah. But who takes care of you? I don't know about you, but in my house if I have a bad day it freaks out my family. They don't know how to handle mom being down. It's really hard always trying to be the "up" one around them. I love getting with my girlfriends and being able to complain - knowing it won't go any further (I hope).
So my wish is for you to find lots of girlfriends to circle around you! Go to the movies, out to dinner, or just sit on the back porch and have coffee.
I would love to know what you think about this subject!
