Girls Night Out!

Last night's Girls Night Out at Stein Mart was so much fun! I want to thank every one that helped pull this event together. We were able to help a couple of local charities let their hair down and have some fun! We happy to have Vanessa Echols', Channel 9 News Anchor, and founder of Compassionate Hands and Heart Breast Cancer Outreach and the HOPE Foundation. These two charities work harder to help our community than most others do in a lifetime. Please take a moment and visit their websites to learn about them.

Now for the fun stuff! Marie Johnson, from Stein Mart, made this event fun! She picked out the outfits for our model volunteers and made the fashion something everyone wanted to see. I have to say, I can't wait for the cooler weather to get here so I can start wearing some of the fashions I saw last night.

Our models were fantastic. You would never know they were not professionals. I did hear that one of them, GiGi (Confessions of a Twilight Mom), actually did some modeling in the past. I'm sure she was a big help calming nerves before everyone had to step out. Our most popular model had to be Dr. Tim Chapman from Seminole Chiropractic Medicine. Everyone stopped and watched as he walked the runway! I think a few people even bought his outfit so they could get their husbands to dress like him!

Nothing makes an event more fun than music and we had the best DJ in Central Florida. The Polk Bros. were there playing music that had everyone dancing. You know it's a good time when the runway turns into a dance floor.

And now for some special thank yous'. Chef Scott and TJ's Seafood Shack donated the food for the event, Vitamin Water donated all of the drinks, Publix stepped in and let us cool the drinks in their freezer so we didn't have to use ice and just look at this list of local businesses that donated gifts for our give-a-ways: Fitness Fanatic, Snap Fitness, Vocal Coaching by Katrina Mena, desserts by the Glass Slipper Cakery and Sweets by Miss Holly, California Kitchen, Tee It Up, Yankee Candle, Tim's Wine in Oviedo, make-up by Connie M. Leon, Artistic Hand, and Rebounderz! Our guests walked away with some pretty amazing items.

I would like to say a big Thank You to our photographers Kamran Malik Photography
www.malikphoto.com . You view the photos from last night on his web site. Lisa DeCoursey was also there with her camera! I can't wait to see those photos.

Well I've posted just a little teaser from the event. You will have to wait until November 1st to watch the rest of the fashion show! We will be posting that as part of the Oviedo Chicks Show.

As always, thank you for your support and please don't forget to use your My CFL Card every chance you get. You're helping to support our community every time you swipe.

Enjoy!
